Here’s a quick dinner idea. Make microwave Nissin Chow Mein noodles, but use grape juice instead of water. It rehydrates the veggies and beef much better than plain water, and it gives the noodles a deeper flavor, kind of like when you cook with red wine.
Plus, it turns the noodles purple, so it looks like worms! The kid thought they were awesome! So did I. I wished I had an extra package. We would have had seconds!
A couple more tips: Empty the veggie packet into the container under the noodles so the get really, really wet. You can put the flavor packet into the mix before the noodles cook. It might not spread as evenly, but flavor will cook into the noodles.
